Bernadette is a music recording artist, healing music producer, and certified Brennan Healing Science Practitioner and Reiki Practitioner, focusing on creating music and art for healing. In 1972, Bernadette became one of the first Asian-American TV child personalities as a cast-member on Emmy award-winning, ZOOM (PBS-TV) spawning her interest in TV production and music (Tanglewood Festival Chorus, Boston Symphony Orchestra). In 1989, Bernadette sustained an injury resulting in her search for healing and pain relief through complementary medicine. She received her BA degree studying telecommunications and music at Indiana University, and a 4-year certification from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH), and Reiki certification. Through intense trainings, working with cancer survivors, child abuse victims, and her personal journey of awakening and healing, Bernadette developed sound therapies to support those who experience chronic illness, stress, and grief.
Since 2013, Bernadette was a Cancer Care practitioner specializing in sound therapy workshops at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, Harvard, MA. Bernadette offers sound therapy workshops and Alchemy Crystal Sound Baths for yoga, wellness events, and meditation classes. As a classically trained musician, Bernadette is also a multi-instrumentalist using a collection of Alchemy crystal singing bowls, guitar, keyboards, and voice. Bernadette produced 3 healing music albums: Radiance (2005), Light Embracing (2012), and Reiki Healing Wisdom (2015) and is working on new projects. In addition to her studies at IU and BBSH, her music studies include Wellesley College (music theory and composition), and certification courses at Berklee College of Music in Audio DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) production: ProTools, Propellerhead Reason, Lyric Writing). She presently produces music on Logic Pro X.
