I wrote Shine Your Light 2 months after the tragic Atlanta spa shootings in 2021 which took the lives of 6 Asian women, this song is an antidote to racial trauma by reminding all to love yourself. Shine Your Light emerged as a song of resistance to racism, ableism, and classism - to remind all of us to be in our joy and embrace our unique and brilliant essence.  This song is for everyone!
